Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern enrollment in and access to The Ground Pilates Certification Program (“the Program”), operated by The Ground LLC (“The Ground”).
By enrolling in the Program, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms.
1. Health, Capacity & Assumption of Risk
You confirm that you are physically and mentally capable of participating in a Pilates teacher training program involving physical movement, self-practice, observation, and teaching.
Participation is voluntary and at your own risk. You release and hold harmless The Ground LLC, its owner, instructors, contractors, and affiliates from any liability related to injury, illness, loss, or damages arising from participation. You are responsible for obtaining medical clearance if needed.
2. Program Structure & Format
The Program is delivered primarily through a virtual learning platform and may include:
Pre-recorded educational content
Required reading and written assignments
Community participation
Monthly live Q&A sessions
Optional mentorship opportunities
Independently completed observation, self-practice, class attendance, and apprentice teaching hours
Practical exams submitted via recorded video
Certification is earned and not guaranteed.
3. Live Participation & Community Engagement
Monthly live Q&A sessions are required while enrolled. You may miss one (1) session within any five (5) month period without penalty.
Participation may be required to meet eligibility standards for third-party certification bodies, including the National Pilates Certification Program (NPCP).
4. Practical Hours & Studio Relationships
All practical hours are completed independently. The Ground does not guarantee studio placement, employment, or partnerships and is not a party to any agreements between you and third-party studios or instructors.
Certification will not be issued until all requirements are submitted, reviewed, and approved.
5. Student Liability Insurance
Before participating in any in-studio activity, you must obtain and maintain active Pilates Student Liability Insurance throughout your in-studio participation.
Minimum recommended coverage is $1,000,000 per occurrence. Proof of insurance may be requested at any time.
6. Technology Requirements
You are responsible for maintaining reliable internet access, appropriate devices, and the ability to record and upload video assignments. Technical issues do not excuse incomplete coursework.
7. Exams & Certification Issuance
Practical exams must be submitted via recorded video. All coursework and exams are reviewed by a qualified instructor. Certification is issued only after all requirements are completed and approved.
8. Access, Timelines & Continued Access
Access to course materials is granted upon enrollment. Graduates retain lifetime access to course materials.
If certification is not completed within the following timelines, continued access may require a maintenance or reactivation fee:
Mat Certification: 9 months
Mat + Reformer Certification: 18 months
Comprehensive Certification: 24 months
9. Tuition & Refund Policy
All tuition is non-refundable once enrollment is completed.
10. Intellectual Property
All Program materials are the intellectual property of Jessica Taylor and The Ground LLC and may not be copied, shared, recorded, or used commercially without written permission.
11. Professional Conduct
The Ground reserves the right to suspend or remove any student for unsafe, unethical, or unprofessional behavior. No refunds will be issued.

These Terms of Use reflect and align with the full Universal Student Enrollment Agreement. Enrollment constitutes acceptance of these terms.
